Pricing

What a website costs

Every agency site says "it depends" and then asks you to book a call. Here is the actual answer first, and the reasons after.

Fixed scope, fixed price. No hourly billing. If the scope changes, we price the change before doing it — you never get a surprise invoice.

What makes the number move

Content readiness. The single biggest variable. If you have final copy and photography, the project is fast and cheap. If we are writing the copy and directing a shoot, that is real work and it is priced as such.

Number of decision-makers. A project with one approver moves twice as fast as one with a committee. We do not charge for meetings, but meetings do change the timeline, and the timeline changes the price.

Custom versus conventional. A well-executed conventional site is genuinely cheaper than a custom-everything one, and for a lot of businesses it is also the right answer.

Integrations. Booking systems, CRMs, payment, inventory. Each one is a defined chunk of work.

Bilingual. Cheaper decided on day one than retrofitted later — see bilingual websites.

What the market charges

For orientation, published 2026 ranges from other studios serving US small businesses:

  • Basic informational site: $1,500 – $3,000
  • Site with advanced functionality: $3,000 – $7,000
  • Full e-commerce: $5,000 – $15,000+
  • Complex custom systems: $15,000+

A professional bilingual small-business site is generally quoted at $1,500 – $5,000.

We sit at the upper end of those bands, and we would rather say why than pretend otherwise: everything is hand-built rather than assembled from a theme, the person designing it is the person building it, and the sites hit performance and accessibility targets that template work does not.

If your budget is under $2,000, a well-chosen template on Squarespace or Shopify is the honest recommendation, and we will make it rather than sell you something thinner than you need.

What is always included

  • Custom design — no purchased themes
  • Hand-written, framework-light front end
  • Mobile-first, tested on real devices
  • Core Web Vitals targets: LCP under 2.5s, INP under 200ms, CLS under 0.1
  • Semantic HTML, structured data, and an information architecture built for search
  • Accessibility: keyboard navigation, contrast, reduced-motion support
  • Analytics, sitemap, robots, and Search Console handover
  • 30 days of post-launch fixes
  • The repository, transferred to you

What is not included by default

  • Ongoing SEO retainers — we build the technical foundation, we are not a monthly SEO shop
  • Paid advertising management
  • Photography and video production — we direct and coordinate, and price it separately
  • Copywriting for very large content libraries — small sites include copy, a 40-page migration does not

How payment works

Three payments: 40% to start, 30% at design sign-off, 30% before launch. No retainer required, no lock-in after launch, and you own the code on final payment.

Common questions

Why won't you give one fixed number for "a website"? Because "a website" spans a one-page announcement and a bilingual application with accounts and payments. The bands above are as specific as anyone can honestly be before a conversation about your project.

Do you offer payment plans? The three-stage schedule spreads cost across the project. For longer builds we split it further. We do not offer financing.

Is there a monthly fee? Not required. Hosting is on your own Vercel or Netlify account, typically $0–$20/month at small-business traffic, and we do not mark it up. Optional maintenance is available; most clients do not need it.

What if I need changes after launch? Thirty days of fixes are included. After that, small changes are ad hoc, or a monthly retainer if you want a standing arrangement. No lock-in either way.

Do you work with nonprofits or early-stage businesses? Sometimes, at adjusted scope rather than adjusted quality — a smaller site built properly rather than a big site built cheaply.

How do I get an actual quote? Start a project. The intake takes about four minutes and asks the questions we need to answer with a number rather than a range.
